What type of identification will I need to board the ship?

U.S. citizens traveling on cruises that begin and end in the same U.S. port must show proof of citizenship (such as an original or certified copy of a birth certificate) and a government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license). Effective June 1, 2009, U.S. citizens traveling on cruises that begin and end in different U.S. ports, or begin or end in a foreign port, must have a valid passport or recognized WHTI-compliant document. For a complete list of accepted documents, see www.travel.state.gov.

U.S. Alien Residents need a valid Alien Resident Card. Canadian citizens must present a valid passport. Non-U.S. citizens need a valid passport and a valid, unexpired U.S. Multiple Re-entry Visa, if applicable.

Passport: U.S. citizens may present a valid U.S. passport when traveling via air, land or sea between the U.S. and the Western Hemisphere countries.

Guests may apply for passports at more than 4500 passport-acceptance facilities nationwide. These include: passport agencies; courthouses; post offices; libraries.

How do I get to the port of Jacksonville?

JAXPORT Cruise Terminal:  9810 August Drive Jacksonville, FL 32226
Travel Time: 15 minutes from the Jacksonville International Airport.

Directions to the Port:

From North of Jacksonville

  • Take I-95 South to State Road 9A South, exit 362-A, (1 mile past Jacksonville International Airport)
  • Take State Road 9A South for six miles to Zoo Parkway / Heckscher Drive exit (State Road 105)
  • Turn right on Zoo Parkway / Heckscher Drive (SR 105)
  • Cross New Berlin Road and go about 1/2 mile
  • Turn left into cruise terminal entrance on August Drive
  • Stop at guard station


From South of Jacksonville

  • Take I-95 North, through Jacksonville, to Heckscher Drive, exit 358-A (State Road 105 North) -- also known as "Zoo Parkway"
  • Stay on Heckscher Dr./Zoo Parkway North; pass the Jacksonville Zoo, and travel about four miles;
  • Turn right on August Drive into cruise terminal entrance; stop at guard's station.


From West of Jacksonville

  • Take I-10 East toward Jacksonville
  • Take I-295 North (this becomes State Road 9A, exit 356)
  • Pass the interchange for I-95, staying on I-295/SR 9A South for six miles to Zoo Parkway / Heckscher Drive exit (State Road 105)
  • Turn right on Zoo Parkway / Heckscher Drive (SR 105 South)
  • Cross New Berlin Road and go about 1/2 mile
  • Turn left into cruise terminal entrance on August Drive
  • Stop at guard station


From Jacksonville International Airport

  • Leave JIA via Airport Road, east toward I-95
  • Take I-95 South for 1 mile to State Road 9A South (Exit 362A, one mile past JIA)
  • Take State Road 9A South for six miles
  • Exit on Zoo Parkway / Heckscher Drive (SR 105), turn right
  • Cross New Berlin Road and go about 1/2 mile
  • Turn left into cruise terminal entrance on August Drive
  • Stop at guard station


From Jacksonville Beaches

  • Take Atlantic Blvd. West to State Road 9A North
  • Take State Road 9A North over the Dames Point Bridge (also know as the Napoleon Bonaparte Broward Bridge)
  • Take first exit off bridge, Zoo Parkway / Heckscher Drive exit (SR 105 South)
  • Turn left on Zoo Parkway / Heckscher Drive (SR 105 South)
  • Cross New Berlin Road and go about 1/2 mile
  • Turn left into cruise terminal entrance on August Drive
  • Stop at guard station


Port Parking: $15.00 per day (rates subject to change by the Port Authority)

  • Fenced, lighted, outdoor parking lot, patrolled by JAXPORT Security 24-hours a day.
  • Handicap Parking available with proof of valid permit.
  • Accepted forms of payment: U.S Dollars; Major Credit Cards.
  • No advance reservations required
  • Oversized vehicles requiring more than one space will pay $25.00 per day.
  • The parking lot is adjacent to the terminal building, requiring only a short walk.
